Your Yapla website is made of pages: the home page, a page for your events, an About page, etc. Each page is divided into zones, and each zone contains a module that displays content. This article explains how to add a page, choose its type and set its options.

Add a page
- In Website, open your website, then click the Pages tile. The list shows all your pages, published or not.
- Click Add a page, at the bottom of the list.
- In General information, enter the Page Name. This is the name shown in the menu.
- If your website uses master pages, choose the one the page is based on in Master Page Name. The page uses its structure, header and footer.
- Choose the Page type (see below) and set its options.
- Click Save.
A new page often looks like an existing one. Open the closest page and click Duplicate to save time.
Choose the page type
- Internal page: a content page of your website. Yapla suggests a Page URL based on its name; you can change it. Choose a short, readable address, because changing it later breaks old links.
- Page Separator: a non-clickable menu item that groups sub-pages in a drop-down list, for example "About" grouping "Our team" and "Our history". To place pages under the separator, drag them in the page list. See Add a menu on my website.
- External link: a menu item that leads to another address (see the next section).
Add an external link to the menu
The External link type adds a link to another website in your menu: your external store, a conference microsite, a partner form, etc.
- Add a page and choose the External link type.
- In Page Name, enter the text shown in the menu.
- In Page URL, paste the full address of the website, starting with https://.
- Check Open the link in a new page so your website stays open in the original tab.
- Save.
Set display and access
In the page's Access section:
- Don't display this page in your web site menu: the page remains accessible through its address but does not appear in the menu. Useful for a thank-you page, a 404 page or a page shared only by link.
- Restrict page access to connected people and Limit access to this page based on the groups associated with the connected person: reserve the page for your members or certain groups. See Restrict access to a page or section of your website.
The Published switch, at the top of the page, puts it online or takes it off the website without deleting it.
Edit a page
In the Pages tile, click a page name to open it. Its tabs contain all its settings:
- Edit: the page content. Click a zone to add or edit a module. See Add a module to a page: list of modules.
- Structure: the layout of zones and rows. See Edit the structure of a page.
- Configuration: the page name, type, address and access, described above.
- SEO: the title and description shown in Google. See Page SEO.
- Customization: a main colour and typeface specific to this page.
- Languages: on a multilingual website, the languages in which the page is published. See Display a page in only one language.
Click Save after your changes.
