Password security
The Yapla Platform ensures that passwords remain secure. All passwords are encrypted and protected. No one is able to view passwords, including Yapla’s teams. When you forget your password, you must reset it.
There are two types of Yapla users.
Platform admins
To reset a Yapla admin's password, you must go to the person's profile in your list of users and initiate a password reset. An email will be sent to the user inviting them to choose a new password. Users can also use the password reset function from the login page.
Your organization’s members and contacts
There are multiple types of Yapla users. They can be members, donors, participants at your events, and other types of contact. These contacts’ passwords allow them to log into your website, built with Yapla.
You can modify passwords by following the instructions below. Note that, anytime a password is reset, it is best to ask the user to change it.

Strengthening Administrator Passwords on Yapla
Any Yapla admin with a compromised password will be required to change it before continuing any activity on the platform. If the new password is also compromised (for example, if it appears in a leaked database or does not meet security criteria—a minimum of 8 characters, including one uppercase letter, one lowercase letter, one number, and one special character), the user will need to choose another one. Otherwise, access to the account will be blocked.
Why these measures?
These measures are intended to protect online payments and prevent the fraudulent use of the newsletter feature. By requiring users to choose a strong and uncompromised password, Yapla limits the risk of unauthorized access to accounts, thereby preventing fraudulent transactions and mass sending of unsolicited newsletters that could damage the reputation of organizations.
Passwords are always encrypted and cannot be viewed once they have been created.
