Yapla now offers a new website template that is more modern, efficient, and flexible. If you already have a website using the old template and would like to switch to the new version, this article will guide you step by step.
For New Users
If you are creating your very first website with Yapla, it will automatically be built using the new template.
For Users Who Already Have a Yapla Website
It is not possible to automatically migrate your old website to the new template. You will need to create a second website within your account and manually reconfigure all your pages.
Steps to Follow
- Create a new website under Website > + Add a website, then give your site a name. This new site will automatically use the new template.
- Take advantage of the integrated pages. Go to your new website and click on the Pages tile. The new template automatically includes pages for Yapla’s main features: Members, Events, and Donations. These pages are preconfigured but unpublished by default, so you can customize them before making them public.
- Reproduce the content of your old site and customize the design. Add your pages, modules, and custom content. For more details on how to configure your content, check out this article.
- Once your site is ready, publish the necessary pages.
- Redirect your domain name if you want to replace your old site.
- Once your new site is live, don’t forget to unpublish the old one.
Important Information for Essential Plan Users
Users with an Essential plan can add a second website for free until the end of 2025. Starting January 1, 2026, this option will no longer be available with the Essential plan. It is therefore strongly recommended to plan your transition now if this applies to you.
