Update the terms and payment information of a recurring donation

When a donor makes a recurring donation in Yapla, some information may need to be changed such as donor information, terms, payment method, credit card information, amount or the donor wishes to end the recurrence. These changes can be made through your Yapla account:

Your donors are able to change credit card information or end their recurring donation through their member area on your website.

Change the terms or end a recurring donation from your Yapla account.

Where can I find my recurring donations?

In your Yapla Dashboard, click on the Donations feature.

From the drop-down menu, click on Recurring donations. Select the recurring donation you wish to update from the List of recurring donations.

Repeat this procedure to access each of the recurring donations you wish to modify.

Edit the donation terms and/or donor information

Once in the selected recurring donation, you can change the amount, donation dates or the type of receipt to issue. To access the options, click on one of the tiles:

  • Manage a recurring donation: to change the frequency of a donation, the dates or other details.
  • Donor: to change the donor's contact details.
  • Payment information: view and change billing information. Although it is possible to update the billing information of a recurring donor (name, address, email, postal code, etc.), you cannot change the information linked to the payment card in your Yapla account. Only the donor can do this themselves via the member area.

Don't forget to click on the Save button after changing the information.

Add a new recurring donation as an administrator

To create a new recurring donation, select the Donations feature, then click on Donors.

From the list, select the donor who wants to give regularly. On the next page, click on the Recurring Donations tile. Then click on the Add a recurring donation button, at the bottom right of your screen.

Edit credit card information or end a donation via the member area (by donors)

Your donors can access their donations via the member area on your website. Learn how in this article.

In the Recurring Donations tab, under the Action column, if the donation is active, it is possible to edit the credit card or end the donation. Your donors will then be able to update the credit card information directly in their account and the recurring donation will be kept.
