If you have the Galaxy membership, and many payment methods, you can determine for each application which payment method will be offered but also determine for each payment method whether it applies to everyone, to logged-in members only or even to specific people.
However, if you are using the shopping cart, which allows you to buy multiple items with a single payment, how will they be managed?
By default, the cart will use all the payment methods configured in the account. However, it is possible to change this operating mode via Shop Settings.
The box Suggest the payment methods for all the products in the basket will compile all the payment methods present in the basket at the time of payment.
Examples of operation
Configuration by application
Your account has payment methods A, B and C. You have configured your memberships with payment method A, your events with payment method B and your Donations with payment method C.
A person becomes a member and registers for an event. With the default operating mode, it would have the 3 payment methods offered at the time of payment. With the option Suggest the payment methods for all the products in the basket, it will only have payment methods A and B.
Payment method A is accessible to everyone. Payment method B is only accessible to logged-in people and payment method C to members with a VIP membership only.
An unconnected person who makes a purchase on the site will not be able to choose their payment method since they will only be presented mode A. However, if they are connected to their account, they will have access to payment methods A and B. If they have a VIP membership, they will have access to payment methods A, B and C.
