Using the Zapier web service, you can automatically transfer information from your Yapla events to thousands of applications. Whether you want to create an Excel report or synchronize the participants of your events with an e-learning platform (LMS), you can use Zapier to exchange data between two applications.
Create a Zapier account
First of all, in order to be able to connect your Yapla events, you need to create a Zapier account. During the creation, you have access to a 14-day free test period. Afterwards, free or paid packages will be offered to you.
To learn more about Zapier, see the online help article on this topic.
Creating a Yapla event
The Events application allows you to manage the registrations of your various events. Yapla adapts to your needs by offering dozens of options: multi-registration, registration period, free registration or payment, etc.
To learn more about how to create and configure an event, read this online help article.
Connection between Yapla and Zapier
Once you are in your Zapier account, click on "Make a Zap" in the left menu.
Then, name your Zap and in the search bar, write Yapla and select the application.
Important! If you can't find Yapla in the application selection, please contact Yapla technical support so that we can send you an invitation upon request.
Then select the Trigger: "New Subscription to an Event". This will activate the Zap every time there is a new registration for your Yapla event.
Click "continue" and the option to connect Zapier to your Yapla account will appear.
Connect my Yapla account to my Zapier account
In order to make this connection, just go to your Yapla account settings and select the API menu.
There you need to copy the API Key.
Then, back in Zapier, a new window will appear when you click "Sign in to Yapla". This will allow you to paste the key you just retrieved from Yapla.
Once you have added the key click "Yes, Continue". In the "Customize Subscription" section, you will need to add the Yapla event ID and the server.
How do I find my Yapla Event ID?
To find your event ID, simply go to the Yapla "Events" application and select your the event in the list.
Once you are on the event page, you will find the event ID in the URL of the eventid/XXXXX/ page. The numbers correspond to the event ID. So you have to copy this number and paste it in the "Event ID" area in Zapier.
Once you have entered the number in Zapier, click "Continue". Now it's time to test your trigger.
By clicking "Test trigger", Zapier will run a test to make sure that the connection to your Yapla account and the event ID works. Make sure you have at least one registration for your event for the test to work.
Once the test is complete, all you need to do is complete section 2, which is the information about the application where you want to send your Yapla registrations. Here you will be able to choose which information (fields) from Yapla you want to send to the application.
