Campaigns are used to group newsletters according to subject or target. The campaign serves as a template for the newsletters. This is also where the sender's name and email address is set up.
The campaigns are also associated with different contact lists, determined by the different filters.
Contacts can unsubscribe from all mailings or from certain campaigns only, hence the importance of creating campaigns based on your communication strategy.
Creating a campaign
In the "Campaigns" menu, click "Create Campaign".
Choose the template
The template is the basic design of the newsletter. By placing a template in a campaign, only the content of the newsletter will have to be modified when creating a new newsletter.
Select a predefined template for your campaign. To select a template, click on the "Create a campaign" button under the template of your choice.
There are 2 types of templates :
- The html template: all the newsletter is managed in a single editor.
- Complete control of the source code.
- Intelligent template: the newsletter is divided by zones. Only the content of the zones and some parameters can be modified.
- Responsive, displays well on all platforms.
- Much easier to manage for the user
- Certain constraints (spaces, dimensions, etc)
You can also create a template from scratch using the editor.
Enter information
Once you have chosen the template, configure your new campaign.
Option | Description |
---|---|
Name | Name of the campaign. This name will also appear on the unsubscribe page. |
Sender name | will appear in the email |
Sender email address | use a valid email, so that subscribers can reply to the newsletter. |

Maximum number of mailings | Maximum number of mailings that users can send per month for this campaign (enter zero to not limit mailings) |
Status | only active campaigns can send newsletters. |
Language | determines the language of the automatic texts in the newsletter (link to the web version, link Report this email as spam,...) |
Web version | places a link to the web version at the beginning of the newsletter. |
When the information is completed, click on the button in the upper right corner. All this information can be modified afterwards.
Make changes to the template, if necessary
All parts of the template can be edited using the text editor.
However, avoid placing the newsletter text in the campaign. Ideally, the campaign should only contain the template common to all newsletters.
Associate a contact list to the campaign
Once the filter is set up, all that remains is to associate it with the campaign. It is impossible to send a newsletter if no contact is associated with it.
In the left menu, click on "Target". In the Filters box, the list of filters associated with the campaign is displayed, as well as the number of contacts for each filter.
Select the target in the left menu.
To add a filter, select it from the drop-down list and click "Add".
To remove a filter, click on the icon to the right of the filter in the table and select the "Remove" option.
Although it is possible to add multiple filters to a campaign, a contact in multiple lists will only receive one newsletter.
Once you have created your campaign, start creating your newsletter.
