Configure Prices for your Events

When offering event registrations, you can set prices and schedule promotional periods, such as early bird discounts to encourage early signups. Here's how to create your pricing and explore the available options.

Create a New Rate

Go to Events > Select your event > Prices > Add a price.

Set up your new rate. Note that the names you assign to your rates will appear on your registration forms.

Create a Preferential Rate for Association Members

By default, once you manage members, you can create discounted or exclusive rates for your members.

Members only: Displays the rate only to logged-in members. People who do not have an account on your site or whose membership is no longer valid will not see this rate.

Specific types of membership Types Only: Create different rates depending on the member’s membership type (student, retiree, etc.). Only members with an active membership in one of these categories will have access to the rates you've set up.

Specific groups only: Display a rate only to members belonging to specific groups. See our article on custom groups to learn more. This allows you to further segment rate visibility to certain logged-in members who are part of those groups.

Non-members only: Display a rate only to participants who register without logging into a member account. All unlogged users and members with expired or invalid memberships will have access to this rate.

Associate Options With Your Rates

Before associating options with your rates, you must first create your options. Configuring a rate includes setting its price and the options that come with it. You can also choose whether or not to apply a rule for selecting options.

Create Rates Based on Registration Periods

For a rate to be active and visible, it must be linked to at least one registration period. You can set registration periods in the Registration Period submenu.

Check the desired periods for each rate and enter the corresponding price in the Price per Period section.

When registering on your site, participants will only see rates:

  • that applies to their membership type or group
  • that is linked to the current registration period

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I offer a donation or contribution option when participants register for my events?

It is currently not possible to add a donation or voluntary contribution option to your event rates.
