Create content to be well indexed by Google

Web referencing is important for most organizations. To appear in the first results of Google gives notoriety and especially visibility. The subject may seem vast and complex, but there is a golden rule to respect: content is king. The more pages you have on your site, the more impact you will have in the long term on your SEO. Of course, the content must be relevant and contain the right keywords in the right place on the page. Without going into detail, the title of the page and the H1 tag must be prioritized.

That being said, the purpose of this article is to explain how to use Yapla simply to have a positive impact on your SEO by producing content.

 

Write articles

The first step is to write relevant articles. Under the website application, you will find the menu item Articles. All the articles on your website are there.

Before you start, think about categorizing your articles.  It will be easier to use them in your web pages via the modules. With time, you will have more and more articles, you will be happy to have them categorized. 

Create a new web page

In the Website application, under the Website menu item, click on the Pages tile.

Then click on the + Add a Page button at the very bottom.

The name of the page is important. It must include a reference to your SEO strategy.  In our example, we will name it Frequent Requests. We will use the example of a site that relies on the creation of content to be well indexed by Google. To achieve this, we have created dozens of articles explaining concepts of the manufacturing world. 

 

Using the Multiple Articles module

To display multiple articles on a page, we recommend using the Multiple Articles module. Go to the Edit tab of your new page and add a Multiple Articles module.

The Multiple articles module allows you to display multiple articles on the same page. In the Graphic Interface section, the display mode offers several choices. The Mosaic mode is often chosen.

In the Articles displayed section, the category of displayed articles field allows you to select the category or categories of articles to be used. In our example, we have created an SEO category.

As a reminder, we created the SEO category before creating our articles, which we then associated with the SEO category.

Again in our example, depending on the settings of the module selected, the articles will appear on the page. Here, we display only the title of the article in mosaic mode.

Each link leads to a page that displays an article from the SEO category.

 

Importance of URLs

To be well-indexed, good management of URLs is necessary. The page displaying the articles uses the URI frequent-requests.

In summary

  1. Create categories to classify your content articles.
  2. Create as many articles as possible.
  3. Create a page, with a relevant name, that will allow you to use the multiple article module.
  4. Display the articles in mosaic mode in order to display the titles of your articles as hyperlinks.
  5. Use relevant article names that represent the same words used by the people you are trying to reach.
  6. Monitor the URIs of your URLs.
