[Manage contact](https://support.yapla.com/en-ca/manage-my-contacts?hsLang=en-ca#manage-contact) # Update the email adress of a contact on Yapla When a person becomes a member, registers for one of your events or donates to one of your donation campaigns, a contact is recorded in administration to accumulate his or her exchanges with your organization. It is possible this person may change his or her email address, so this information needs to be updated in Yapla in order to keep a history of these exchanges. ### Update a member's email address A member's email address can be modified in his or her membership file. This can be accessed via [your organization's member list](https://s1.yapla.com/member/en/member/list/). In your member's file, you will find the field for the email address:![member\_file\_email.png](https://support.yapla.com/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/member_file_email.png) You can then click on "edit" in the lower right corner of this page and update the member's email address. #### Synchronization of the Yapla contact A change of email address for a member will update the contact's email address and keep the information attached to it. You will find your Yapla contacts in [the Contact section](https://s1.yapla.com/crm/en/contact/list/). ### Update the email address of an event participant A participant's email address can be modified in the registration list that can be accessed through the list of participants of [your events](https://s1.yapla.com/event/en/event/list/). In your participant's file, you will find the field for the email address:![event\_file\_email.png](https://support.yapla.com/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/event_file_email.png) You can then click on "edit" in the lower right corner of this page and update the participant's email address. #### Synchronization of the Yapla contact A change of email address for a participant will create a new contact with the new email address and will only keep the system group linked to this registration. You will find your Yapla contacts in [the Contact section](https://s1.yapla.com/crm/en/contact/list/). ### Updating a donor's email address A donor's email address can be changed in his or her donation record, which can be accessed through your donors list in your [campaigns](https://s1.yapla.com/donation/en/campaign/list/).
