In Google Analytics, go to **Admin \> Data streams**. Select your website's stream, or create a Web stream if you don't have one. 2. Copy the **Measurement ID**, which starts with **G-**. 3. In Yapla, go to **Website**, open your website, then click the **External tools** tile. 4. In the **Google Analytics** section, paste the ID in the **Tracking identifier** field, then save. The first data appears in the Google Analytics **Realtime** report within minutes of a visit. ### Connect Google Tag Manager Google Tag Manager lets you add and manage tracking tags yourself (Google Analytics, Google Ads, etc.) without touching the website code. 1. In Google Tag Manager, create an account and a **Web** container for your website, if you don't have one. 2. Copy the container ID, which starts with **GTM-**. 3. In your Yapla website's **External tools** tile, paste it in the **Google Tag Manager** section, then save. 4. In Google Tag Manager, add your tags. For Google Analytics, create a **Google Tag** with your G- Measurement ID. 5. Use **Preview** mode to check that the tags fire on your website. 6. Click **Submit** to publish the container. Until it is published, no tag is active. If you set up Google Analytics in Google Tag Manager, leave the **Tracking identifier** field of the Google Analytics section empty in Yapla. Otherwise, each visit may be counted twice. ### Respect visitor consent If you enable Yapla's cookie consent banner, your visitors can accept or refuse Google Analytics. Tags you add yourself in Google Tag Manager follow the triggering rules you set in Tag Manager. Yapla's banner does not support Google Consent Mode (Consent Mode v2). If you must comply with a privacy law, have your tag setup validated by the person who manages your Tag Manager. ### Frequently asked questions #### I received an email from Google about the switch from gtm.js to gtag.js on October 2, 2026. Do I need to do anything? Not for the Measurement ID entered in Yapla's **Tracking identifier** field: since September 2026, Yapla loads Google Analytics with the gtag.js code recommended by Google. If you load Google Analytics through your own Google Tag Manager container, check its setup by following Google's instructions. #### My ID starts with UA-. Does it still work? No. Google stopped processing Universal Analytics data (UA- IDs) in 2023. Create a Google Analytics 4 property and use its G- Measurement ID. #### Can I use a different ID for each of my websites? Yes.
