Create an online store (Beta)
Add your products, display them on your website with the shopping cart, then track your sales in the Store, still in beta.
Available with the Essentials plan and higher.
The Store is in beta: some common online store functions are not available yet. See the section Beta limitations before you start.
The Store sells products directly on your website: promotional items, publications, services, etc. You add your products and their prices, then your visitors buy and pay for them online with the shopping cart.

Add your products
- Go to Store > Products, then click Add Product.
- Enter the product's Name, Description and Price, then add one or more Images.
- Choose the Income account and, if needed, the Project linked to the sale, then check the applicable taxes.
- Click Save.
The product appears right away in your website's store. To take it off sale, delete it with Delete in the product list: sales already made are kept.
To sell the same item in several sizes or colours, create one product per variant and include the variant in its name (for example "T-shirt – Size M"). The product name is recorded in the sale at the time of purchase, so you know exactly which variant to prepare.
Display the store on your website
The store requires a published website and a cart page. Depending on your situation:
You don't have a website yet
After creating your first product, click Create a website. You get a published website that already contains a Store page, with your products, and a Cart page. Click Visit my website to see it.
You already have a website
- Turn on the shopping cart and create its page, if not done yet. See the article Enable the shopping cart and payment on the website.
- In Website, open your website, click the Pages tile, then add a page for the store (see the article Create a page on your website).
- In the page's Structure tab, click the zone that will display your products.
- In Feature, choose Store, then in Zone module, choose List of products.
- Click Save and close.
Place the Cart module on its own page, not on the store page.
Is the Organization field of the cart required for your buyers? This depends on a setting in your account: in the invoice settings of the Accounting feature, choose the first and last name option in the required fields of the payment page. The Organization field stays visible but becomes optional.
Customize the product display
Available with the Premium plan.
- Open your website, then the Views and templates tile, Templates tab.
- Click Add a template, name it, choose Yapla module template, then select the Product list module and its interface.
- Save, then click the pencil on the template tile to edit it.
To learn more, see the article Customize the display of your content using templates.
Track your sales
Go to Store > Sales. The list shows the Product name, Quantity, Status and Creation Date of each sale. Filter it by product name or status. Click a sale to see the buyer's information and the invoice.
The status shows where the sale stands:
- Invoiced: the product has been purchased.
- Processed: the product has been handed over to the buyer, the sale is complete.
- Cancelled: the sale will not be fulfilled.
The Cancelled status is for tracking only: it does not cancel the invoice or refund the buyer.
To get an exportable list of your sales, use the sales by accounting code report in the Accounting feature.
Set up communications
The store's automatic emails are set up under Payments > Settings > Communications: the pending payment email and the payment confirmation email. Click a communication to edit its content. To learn more, see the article Configure cart communications.
Beta limitations
- Separate cart: store products cannot be in the same cart as a membership, a registration or a donation. The buyer pays for these purchases separately.
- Quantity: the quantity cannot be chosen in the cart. To buy the same product several times, the buyer adds it again.
- Inventory, variants and shipping: the store does not manage stock, variants (sizes, colours) or shipping.
- Publication: a product cannot be temporarily unpublished. Delete it to take it off sale.
- Cancellation and refund: store invoices cannot be cancelled or refunded.
- Sales list: the list does not show the buyer's name on each line and cannot be exported. Open the sale to see the buyer.
- Detail page and duplication: a product does not open in a detail page on the website and cannot be duplicated.
- Translation: products cannot be translated; they display the same way in every language of a multilingual website.
- Single pages: the store requires a Yapla website and does not work with single pages (monopages).
