[Introduction to Yapla Newsletters](https://support.yapla.com/en-ca/send-newsletters?hsLang=en-ca#introduction-to-yapla-newsletters) # Add a custom domain for your newsletters The sender's name and e-mail address in your newsletters can be modified to fit your association and brand. By default, the address used for your emails is [communications@yapla.org](mailto:communications@yapla.org). Using a similar sender name and domain improves deliverability. It is strongly recommended to use a similar, personalized sender name and domain to improve delivery. Here's how to customize your sender name and email. You will notice that the default sender address is provided by Yapla, ending with @yapla.com. ![](https://support.yapla.com/hs-fs/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/35413662181523.png?width=374&height=492&name=35413662181523.png) Click on *Continue.* If the address is valid, an email will be sent to validate it. Make sure to check this email. ![](https://support.yapla.com/hs-fs/hubfs/image-png-Feb-17-2026-09-33-48-7573-PM.png?width=670&height=133&name=image-png-Feb-17-2026-09-33-48-7573-PM.png) Click on the arrow next to *View* then on *Authenticate the domain* and follow the steps provided. You will need to contact your hosting server administrator to complete this step. As long as the address is displayed in a yellow banner and does not show the status "*Verified*", it is not authenticated and cannot be used to send newsletters. ![En-2.png](https://support.yapla.com/hubfs/Knowledge%20Base%20Import/35545116149395.png) #### Ensuring the chosen address comes from an authenticated domain. Once verification is completed, any e-mail added to the sender list can be used. The domain name you add must be authenticated to enable the sending of your e-mails. As long as your sender address is not authenticated, no e-mail can be delivered. ***Important reminder:** To ensure optimal deliverability and protect the reputation of your sender, it is essential to send e-mails from an authenticated domain. Avoid using e-mail addresses from free domains such as @gmail.com or @outlook.com, for example.* ##### Good to know After changing your sending address: A new address may be necessary due to a domain change, reorganization, or other reasons. If you need to modify it, follow these steps: 1. **Let them know!** Send a newsletter to your contacts before making the change. Ask them to add your new sending address to their contact list. 2. **Warning signs** You can include a warning at the top of the newsletter before the change. 3. **The domain** The originating domain should match the URL they entered when signing up.
